You're sure to fall in love with old Cape Cod

Cape Cod is famous for its seafood and sandy beaches, but this peninsula is also steeped in history. Indigenous peoples have lived, farmed, and fished here for thousands of years and the Cape stakes its claim as the location where the Pilgrims first made landfall in November 1620. Each of Barnstable County's 15 towns contribute to the unique character of the Cape, which is key to its identity, quality of life, and economic vitality.

Historic Cape Cod (HCC) strives to serve as a preservation resource and advocate by promoting the sense of place and historic value of Cape Cod, including its world-renowned architecture, waterfronts, landscapes, collections, and cultural traditions. An important function of Historic Cape Cod is to act as a centralized hub that aids other established cultural and historical institutions in sharing their own efforts while fostering a sense of community. HCC aims to engage and motivate audiences of all ages to actively participate in the preservation and presentation of Cape Cod's history.
